.snow has already developed in the mountains, with rain and snow developing on the plains as a storm system moves into the area early this morning. It appears a band of heavy snow may move across the denver and boulder areas early this morning just in time for the morning commute. Travelers should be prepared for winter travel conditions and a slow, slippery commute this morning. The main impacts will occur in and near the heavy band of snow when very slick travel conditions may develop, along with poor visibility. That band of snow is expected to shift slowly south across the palmer divide and be ending by late morning in denver and noon over the palmer divide.
